Limited Edition "Rinascimento" Table Runner
Exclusive to L’Arte Nascosta; limited edition: just 1 piece
Laboratorio Brozzetti’s “Rinascimento” Table Runner is a tribute to Umbria’s artistic patrimony and an exquisite example of the superior quality and timeless beauty of handwoven Umbrian fabrics. The fabric design, which was woven by hand on antique jacquard looms dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, features two floral panels as inspired by a wooden choir stall in Perugia’s 16th Century Church of Saint Peter in Perugia; in between each panel runs the Latin maxim “Per Aspera Ad Astra,” or, “To the stars through difficulty.”
The fabric is woven with a cotton warp and a weft constructed in vintage Florentine silks sourced from the Laboratorio’s archive. The relatively heavy gauge of the vintage silk threads as compared to more readily available modern silk adds unique depth and substance to the pattern. The result is an heirloom piece that conveys the same quality that you might otherwise expect from a valuable antique.
Hand woven and hand finished with hand rolled edges.
Dimensions: 17in x 60in
Exclusive to L’Arte Nascosta; limited edition: just 1 piece
